this is my favorite place in the entire world, ymca camp wewa, apopka, fl:


the beloved roundhouse had to be demolished due to it being condemned. heartbreaking, really.





'round the campfire
neath the stars so bright
we have met
in comradeship tonight
'round about these whispering trees
guard our golden memories

and so before
we close our eyes to sleep
let's us pray
each other we will keep

camping friendships
strong and deep
'til we meet again

day is done
gone the sun
from the lakes
